Disneyland!

In May we went to Disneyland with Kenny's family.  Are we spoiled or what!?! It was so nice to be able to see everyone...and of course Disneyland was a blast:) I thought Rylee was going to be too young to enjoy anything at Disneyland (I of course was excited to go but I didn't think she would care if she went on rides or not.) I was wrong!

Rylee did sit out a lot of the rides due to the height requirement;), but she did have some definite favorites.  It was so fun to see her reaction!  She loved the rides with the bright colors. She loved Its a Small World.  She would get so excited and would point at everything!  She also really liked the new Little Mermaid ride.  Fortunately that ride never had a line so we would sometimes go twice in a row.  And she would get just as excited the second time:) She also liked Monster's Inc.  Grandma Clark took her on that one a lot while we went on Tower of Terror:) We also took her on Pirates of the Caribbean which she wasn't a huge fan of.  She hated the drops in the dark. I thought Rylee would like Fantasyland (because aren't all kids suppose to like Fantasyland? That is why the lines are a mile long right?) I have no idea why the lines are so long.  The rides are so dark and short! The newer rides in California Adventure like Monster's Inc. and Little Mermaid were SO much better!!

Well I am sure you are probably sick of my writing and ready to see some pictures of my cute girl, so here they are:)

We were excited because our flights were set up perfectly with Rylee's nap schedule. (We didn't do that on purpose but it was a nice coincidence:) ) Unfortunately, our morning flight from State College to Philadelphia got cancelled so instead of having to leave the house at 7 we had to wake up Rylee and leave at 5. And this little girl of ours was way too excited to be awake, and didn't want to go back to sleep. Since we had to take this earlier flight, we had a 3 hour layover instead of a 1 hour layover.  That ended up working out fine because we just put her down for a nap in the stroller and walked around:) And then she still had plenty of time to run around and wear herself our for the next flight! We were suppose to board just in time to have her fall asleep for her second nap, but our plane was having mechanical difficulties and was delayed another hour and a half. So instead she fell asleep in Kenny's arms (which he was definitely enjoying:) ) and then woke up just before take-off.  So much for the perfect flight plan! Luckily she was a happy baby! Man this girl is so social!! She would wave at everyone, and walk up to people and just stare at them.  I felt a little awkward for her but she was having a blast!

Rylee took the majority of her naps in the stroller at Disneyland.  For the most part, she slept GREAT! She even took an hour and a half nap...twice I think! It was so hot at Disneyland, and with the blanket covering her she would get SO sweaty! It was so nice to be able to not have to worry about leaving during naps! It also made it easier for whoever was sitting out on the ride to watch the babies:)

Since we were there over Mother's Day, everyone was able to talk to Calvin.  I think Calvin even got a wave out of Rylee.  It will be fun to have them actually spend time together this Christmas! Here is a group shot of everyone trying to see Calvin:)

I forgot to mention that Rylee also enjoyed the Merry-Go-Rounds. She doesn't look as amused on this one.  She liked the one in California Advertures better.

Of course we had to bring along Rylee's Monster's Inc. shirt! She didn't keep the bow in her hair for too long, so she was looking like a boy for a good part of the day. But she looked cute nonetheless!

Here is Rylee and Addie playing in a fountains.  This was also probably Rylee's other favorite ride...dad holding her over to touch the fountain:)

Oh and I can't forget to mention how close we stayed to Disneyland!  We were like 2 hotels down from the entrance! We were right next to the McDonald's! It was so nice to be so close! It made it so easy to come and go. Thank you Corine and Evan for such an AWESOME trip! It was so fun to see everyone, watch the cousins interact, hang out in lines, and of course ride some awesome rides!
